The Joint African Masters Programme in Comparative Local Development (JAMP) is a fully interdisciplinary programme comprising the application of economics, law, sociology and political science to the analysis of local development. The JAMP is an initiative of a consortium of the Tshwane University of Technology (South Africa), the Polytechnic of Namibia (Namibia), Universidade São Tomás de Moçambique (Mozambique), and Università di Trento (Italy).

Simão Nhambi is a Researcher and a Lecturer and holds a Master Degree in Social Science from the University of KwaZulu- Natal. He works at the University of St. Thomas Of Mozambique as a Research Centre Director and is the cofounder and Managing Editor of the African Journal of Governance and Development. He founded the University online scientific bulletin called ‘Cogito’. His research interests cover cross-cutting Socio-Economic and Development issues in several areas of social sciences, including governance and development, Southern African political economy, migration studies, political communication and comparative government.
